Healthy Hibees Get Set To Go!
Written By SPFL Trust Media Centre
A team from the HealthyHibees group of Football Fans in Training graduates are heading to Manchester this Saturday to take part in the Spartan Race events there, with teams in for both the 5km Sprint race and the 12km Super in the afternoon. Obstacle Course Racing has become one of the fastest growing fitness developments in recent years, the combination of cross country running and teamwork to overcome obstacles has proven a success with groups across the country, and can be an ideal follow-on for the FFiT initiative.
Spartan Race provides a daily challenge to complete a set of 30 exercises, and at the recent FFiT 7-a-side tournament, the 17 teams of ten combined to carry out a set of mass push-ups as part of the #Spartan30 challenge. The FFiT group have now been given a discount code SR7062 that can be used for any Spartan Race in the UK. Scotland hosts the Sprint race on Saturday 18 July and Super the following day at Spittal Farm, Ninemileburn, Midlothian.
Additional discounts are available for a team of five or more, for more information contact Glenn Milne at Hibernian Community Foundation. [email protected]
