Derek McGowan

Derek is the Service Director for Housing and Homelessness at the City of Edinburgh Council and has strong interest and experience in anti-poverty work, community learning and justice services, equalities and prevention / early intervention practice.

Derek grew up in Glasgow not far from Hampden Park and is a big football fan. He sees his role at the SPFL Trust as an opportunity to use professional experience and love of sport to help communities and clubs tackle major public health issues at a local level.
