What to expect at the SPFL Trust Trophy Final
Written By Jake Gray
The SPFL Trust Trophy Final 2023 between Raith Rovers and Hamilton Academical takes place at the Falkirk Stadium, Falkirk on Sunday 26 March with loads planned to ensure a memorable day out for supporters.
Pre-match kids activity
We are delighted to be welcoming Pitch Parade, a fan-zone event company who will be putting on freestyle performances and hosting Teqball, SubSoccer and table football directly outside the stadium from 2pm. Check out their social media for a better idea of what to expect
Face painting and balloon artistry
Inside the concourse, we will have face painters and balloon artists on hand to paint some Raith Rovers, Hamilton Accies and SPFL Trust Trophy style art on your face, so you’re fully prepared to cheer on your team. They will also be creating some fantastic balloon art, too!
Trophy legends
Former competition winners David McGurn (Raith Rovers) and Gary Clark (Hamilton Accies) will parade the trophy pre-match, evoking memories of both clubs lifting the cup.
Player escorts
Every player – and the referee with his own ball carrier – will be accompanied for the big match walk out after winners were selected from a lot of entries
Pre-match show
Shortly before kick off, Spirit Athletics cheerleaders are putting on a high-octane pre-match performance, especially choreographed for the SPFL Trust Trophy Final
On the pitch experience
We’ll also welcome 40 boys and girls from both clubs to take part in a series of small sided games on the pitch – do make sure you give them a cheer on their special day
Give the Glory
At full time a supporter – either Lucy (Raith Rovers) or Brandon (Hamilton Accies) – will present the trophy to the winning team, in what is sure to be a very emotional moment
Player of the Match
We’ve also got a supporter – Harris (Raith Rovers) or Brandon (Hamilton Accies) who will present BBC ALBA’s chosen Player of the Match with his official trophy
If you cannot make it to the game, then you can watch the action unfold LIVE on BBC ALBA and online at BBC iPlayer.
