SPFL Trust Golf Day 2019 tees off at The Carrick
Written By SPFL Trust Media Centre
On Wednesday, the annual SPFL Trust Golf Day was held at The Carrick on the banks of Loch Lomond, for the second consecutive year.
Stars from TV and sport attended the event, which raised funds for the provision of mental health first aid training, including Mark Hateley, Darren O’Dea and John Higgins. Although the weather wasn’t the best, it didn’t put off the participants as they set off after a welcome from sports broadcaster Alison Walker.
The winning team on the day was made up of players from Topps Match Attax and Thrifty – Steve Connor, Scott Steadman, Gary MacDonald and Ian MacDonald with an excellent score of 53.
A fantastic amount was raised on the day, which will all go towards further mental health first aid training. The training is provided by the SPFL Trust in partnership with Chris Mitchell Foundation across the 42 SPFL clubs, with over 300 people having received the training so far.
