Ayr United have used their funding in order to introduce a disability football academy which helped to provide football opportunities and positive experiences for young people and adults with either learning, physical or health issues.  The programme is designed to increase the number of disabled footballers participating in South Ayrshire as well as provide them with increased opportunity for training and completion.  In aiming for these objectives, Ayr United hope to raise the standard of football coaching available to disabled playing by establishing a comprehensive education and mentoring programme for new and existing coaches.
