Our new partnership with Perry Ellis Europe

We are delighted to announce a key partnership with Perry Ellis Europe (PEE), the owners of lifestyle and sports brands Original Penguin and Farah.
The American family-owned business, who are also the licensee for Callaway apparel and Nike Swim, is our first ever corporate partner, providing funding across the next three years to support our mental health work in Scotland.
Our Mental Health Awareness Courses are specifically designed for people working within football, focusing on the unique pressures experienced by those involved with the game.
We also run The Changing Room, supporting men in their middle years with mental health, in partnership with Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) and Movember.
The Changing Room uses the power of football to tackle poor mental health, bringing men together over a 12-week period, encouraging them to open up, make friends and better understand their mental wellbeing.
We have also been extensively involved in the development of Scotland’s new suicide prevention strategy, Creating Hope Together.
The funding from Perry Ellis Europe as part of this partnership will be invested to support future mental health activity.
SPFL Trust CEO, Nicky Reid, said:
“We are delighted to be working with Perry Ellis Europe, who are providing us with funding to support our vital mental health work in Scotland.
“Their funding will assist us in our support of SPFL clubs and their associated community trusts with the mental health programmes they run.
“We are grateful to Perry Ellis Europe for this and we are looking forward to forging a positive working partnership.”
Carl Davies, CEO at Perry Ellis Europe, said:
“We’re thrilled to embark on this partnership with the SPFL Trust, with the intent to facilitate positive change and enhance community engagement throughout Scotland, and ultimately empowering people and helping to create a lasting impact across the country.
“Collaborating on shared values and vital community programmes that transcend the realms of both fashion and football, we’re proud to support the SPFL Trust in its endeavours in health and wellbeing, education and employability.”
