Roddy Forsyth

Roddy is a highly experienced freelance broadcaster and journalist, with extensive knowledge of the world of football and media.

The attraction to becoming a trustee was the SPFL Trust’s support and co-ordination of the many community and charitable initiatives run by Scottish football clubs, much of which, to his first-hand knowledge as a successful journalist, was largely unsung or not given deserved credit.

One particular area of interest, for Roddy, is in the SPFL Trust as an innovator, not only nationally, but globally, with our groundbreaking weight loss project, Football Fans In Training. This scheme has provided a template for other sports and we are currently in discussion with UEFA about how best this might be implemented throughout Europe.
