Bob Winter

Our chairman is the former Lord Provost of Glasgow. Prior to entering elected politics, Bob was Director of Social Work at Strathclyde Council.

Bob’s background in community development, engagement and his passion for football are what attracted him to become a Trustee in 2014, with a view to becoming chair. His experience from serving on a wide range of statutory and voluntary bodies as chair and board member over the years has helped him to contribute to SPFL Trust activities and decision making.

His love of football has enabled Bob to guide in his role as chair of the SPFL Trust board, through his belief that football has the power to motivate people to do their best and to achieve their goals.
