The St Johnstone Community Trust was established as a stand-alone organisation with charitable status in 2016 with the following vision: providing positive life enhancing experiences using sport, and football in particular, to help people throughout Perth and Kinross achieve their goals.

To achieve this vision, projects take place under five themes:

OUTCOMES -

OBJECTIVES -

  • to provide football and other sporting activities for children and young people
  • to provide a structured football coach education programme
  • to promote participation by providing activities designed to improve health and wellbeing
  • to promote equality and inclusion through programmes that target the disadvantaged
  • to provide a range of projects designed to assist in the development of life skills

Projects

Saints Kidz Community Football

Children and young people from 3-16 years of age

Various dates throughout year at McDiarmid Park and at County venues throughout Perth and Kinross. Check Saints in the Community web site for details.

Providing a fun, positive experience for young players, helping them to achieve their footballing goals.

SAINTS (Saints Academy-Inclusion Through Sport)

Adults (14+) with either: Learning disabilities including autism spectrum disorder or Mental ill health including addiction issues.

Multi-activity project to help people access activities by breaking down any barriers to they may encounter.

Saints Football Memories

People who are living with dementia, in isolation or recovering from a condition such as a stroke.

Football reminiscing project adding quality to lives through recall of players, matches, goals and incidents from days gone by.

Show Racism The Red Card

Children and young people.

Local primary school visits and 3 stadium workshops throughout the year. Check Saints in the Community web site for details.

In partnership with Show Racism the Red Card Charity, this workshop educates young people about the different types of racism and promotes equality and inclusion.

Employment Programmes

Long term unemployed.

Various programmes to help unemployed people gain work skills to improve their employability..
